Enhanced Dynamic RFI Form to Improve Data Entry
Procore will soon be dramatically improving the Project level RFIs tool to provide project teams and collaborators with a better end-to-end experience. Featuring a variety of user interface improvements, the changes are designed to save your team time and effort when managing RFIs:
- Improved page layout for better readability
We've improved the alignment and sizing of the data entry fields added alternate-row highlighting to improve readability and to enhance data entry.
- Enhanced system focus for faster data entry
When users create a new RFI, the system automatically places focus on the Subject field (i.e., the fields in now highlighted in BLUE), so you can simply begin your data-entry. Users can also press the TAB key to quickly switch the system's focus between data entry fields. To quickly remove data entry from a field, you can also click the new 'x' symbol in the General Information fields.
- Updated buttons and new 'sticky' footer
The Save button will be grayed out and unavailable until all required data entry fields are complete. In addition, a new 'sticky' footer with call-to-action buttons is present at all times so you can quickly execute associated actions.
- Require responses from assignees
On or shortly after the release of the dynamic form, we will also be adding a new feature that allows users to mark a checkbox next to an 'Assignees' name to designate that a response to the RFI is required by that assignee. See How do I mark an assignee as a required responder on an RFI?
