Integration by Ryvit: Export a Commitment to the Viewpoint® Vista™
Objective
To export a commitment (i.e., a purchase order or subcontract) created in Procore to Viewpoint® Vista™ using the Integration by Ryvit.
Background
This process consists of actions that are typically performed by two different users.
- Project Manager. Approves the new commitment and sends it to the ERP Integrations tool for acceptance by an accounting approver.
- Accounting Approver. Reviews the commitment in the ERP Integrations tool and then submits an 'Accept' or 'Reject' response:
- Accepted commitments are exported to Viewpoint® Vista™ with the Integration by Ryvit
- Rejected commitments are NOT exported to Viewpoint® Vista™ with the Integration by Ryvit.
- Project Manager. Procore returns rejected commitments to an editable state in the project's Commitments tool.
- Corrects any rejected commitments. See Edit a Commitment.
- Resends any corrected commitments to the ERP Integrations tool. See Integration by Ryvit: Resend a Rejected Commitment to ERP Integrations for Accounting Acceptance.
Things to Consider
- Required User Permissions:
- Prerequisites:
- Configure the ERP Integrations tool for Integration by Ryvit. See Integration by Ryvit: Setup Guide.
- The Commitments tool must be an active tool on the project. See Add and Remove Project Tools.
- Limitations:
- To add a Schedule of Values (SOV) line item to a commitment, it must be tied to an existing cost code and cost type.
