Integration by Procore: Add a Viewpoint® Spectrum® Vendor to the Company Directory

Objective

To take a new vendor record in Viewpoint® Spectrum® and add it as a new company record in Procore's Company Directory using the Integration by Procore.

Background

If you create vendor records in Viewpoint® Spectrum®, the Integration by Procore provides you with the ability to use that record to create a corresponding company record into Procore's Directory tool. It also creates a permanent link between the two records, so you then future updates entered in Viewpoint® Spectrum® to its match in Procore. 

IMPORTANT! Always check your company's Directory tool to ensure a matching record doesn't already exist before using the steps below. 

Things to Consider

• Required User Permissions:
  • 'Standard' or 'Admin' on the company's ERP Integrations tool.
    AND
  • The person's account must be granted the 'Can Push to Accounting' privilege in the Company Directory. See Grant Accounting Approver Privileges.
• Prerequisites:
  • Integration by Procore: Consolidate Duplicates in the Company Directory 
  • Integration by Procore: Link a Viewpoint® Spectrum® Vendor to a Procore Company

Steps

1. Navigate to the company's ERP Integrations tool
2. Click the Vendors tab. 
3. Under Filters, click Ready to Import. 
4. Review the 'Vendors Only in Viewpoint® Spectrum®' list. 
5. For each listed vendor, check to see if there is a matching company record in Procore's Company Directory. Then choose from these options:
   • If a match exists, follow the steps in Integration by Procore: Link a Viewpoint® Spectrum® Vendor to a Procore Company
     OR
   • If no match exists, click the Add to Procore button (Note: This uses the vendor data from Spectrum to create a matching record in your Company Directory. A link is automatically established between the Spectrum vendor and the Procore company). 

6. Repeat the previous step for every vendor in the list.
