What is the maximum character length for a commitment's 'Title'?

Answer

When Procore's Company level ERP Integrations tool (see ERP Integrations) is configured to work with an integrated ERP system, you can export commitments from Procore and then sync them with your integrated system. In past versions of Procore, the system limited the length of a commitment's 'Title' to 30 characters for all integrated ERP systems. This matched the limit set by Sage 300 CRE and ensured that data from Procore would be successfully imported into Sage 300 CRE. However, now that Procore integrates with additional ERP systems, the maximum character length for a commitment's 'Title' has been changed as follows (effective March 13, 2017):

Maximum Character Length for Commitment 'Title'

The maximum character limit for the 'Title' field on a commitment is:

  • Dexter + Chaney Spectrum. 255 characters maximum. Although Dexter + Chaney Spectrum does not impose a limit, 255 is the maximum allowable number of characters in Procore.
  • QuickBooks. 255 characters maximum. Although QuickBooks permits up to 4095 characters, 255 is the maximum allowable number of characters in Procore.
  • Sage 300 CRE. 30 characters maximum. This is the maximum allowable number of characters in Sage 300 CRE. Important! If you create a title with a greater number of characters in Procore, that title will be truncated upon export from Procore to satisfy the Sage 300 CRE limit.
